Where does your desire for self-improvement come from? If you have read my previous articles, you will establish that my desire to improve comes from a deep rooted dissatisfaction and lack of effort in my younger years. I know deep down that I will never return to those dark times. I suppose you could call it a fear and an apprehension. I am now at a level where I am taking my desire and combining it with education to push myself to the next level of achievements, whether they be personal or sporting related. This is yet another reason that I align with Azoth! I am searching for that Total Human Productivity and will do almost anything to accomplish goals.
I do take steps back at times, not to dumb down my effort or take my foot of the gas, but to re-evaluate and re-assess where I am going and what I have achieved
over short periods of time.
I do regularly combine my desire with times of sadness and heartbreak. Let me explain......it allows me to force myself through those last reps or those last rounds with relative ease. As we all experienced difficult situations in life, it is something that we all have access to. There is always another level that you can go to in order to improve.
I very much value a positive atmosphere in team sports and harmonious working relationships especially in a professional sense. When trying to meet deadlines and targets, the effort of individuals can be tapped into when small things are changed, sending their motivation into over drive. In a close knit team, I see no point in aggravation, moods and elitism. It is a team effort and everyone need to knuckle down and get on with it, achieving the goal in the process. Every person has a role to play!
If you combine you own individual makeup, your own desire, with the power of a highly functioning team, there is no limit to what the team and the individuals within can achieve. You will make progress in search of that Total Human Productivity and the ability to Get Sh*t Done.
