Going through hardship, stress and difficult situations is part of life. I realized that from a very young age and as I get older, the way to deal with this type of situation is something that I have been able to develop.
When I was younger, I followed everyone and never did anything out with the comfort zone with the fear of being mocked by my peers. I played football (soccer), golf, playing computer games and everything else that goes with it.
I thought that I was active and in my head I was, however it was food consumption that was causing difficulties with my weight and I was at a loss as to why I couldn’t get a grip of it. I left school, got my first job in I.T. and the soccer stopped, the golf stopped and the weight increased so much over a short space of time. At one point, I tipped the scales at 18 stone (252 pounds).
I experienced a number of hardships which lit and fire in me and completely turned things around. I left my stable IT job and moved to a more aggressive internet reseller which was a wise financial decision. This was in September, and I was made redundant just prior to Christmas. I was heartbroken and was left with nothing. I went back to the drawing board to try and plan my next move.
To give peace of mind, I secured a short term festive job before moving into a contractual IT job. It was a large IT company with a great health and wellness program. I decided it was time to work, I wanted out of IT and used my time very effectively. I lost a lot of weight in a very short period of time and started to turn things around. I had an idea of a career I was looking at however I required to be extremely fit for it.
I got the career I was looking for, I started doing triathlons and tried to take things step by step. I had excess skin to lose and believe it or not I had lost too much weight. I sat at 13 stone (182 pounds) and had to firm up. That’s where martial arts came in. I started working at my local Brazilian Jiu Jitsu gym, absolutely out of my comfort zone, having no combat background. Intense conditioning was the perfect way for me to go and it worked perfectly for me.
I started to gain weight and muscle with the help of a few notable individuals I had spoken to over the internet. I now sit at around 13 stone 9 pounds (191 pounds). I travelled to Phuket, Thailand on three separate occasions and trained at the world renowned Tiger Muay Thai. I fought on the beach in BJJ events and trained with some excellent UFC prospects on the mats.
Take that last paragraph there and back at the start of my article you will how things have changed. This is one of the main reasons that I align with Azoth. I am looking to always improve, whether that be on the mats or in life.
I am looking for that Total Human Productivity that we all search for and Azoth is there by my side. It is an extensively researched product that is evolving and constantly in development.
